Indonesia traffic jam forces president out of car, makes him walk 2km to an event

President Joko Widodo of Indonesia, got stuck in the country’s notorious traffic, forcing him and his security detail to get out of his car and walk 2 kilometers through to an event.

The president and senior government officials were held up by gridlock as they approached the military parade in Cilegon, a port city about two and a half hours drive from the capital Jakarta.

After 30 minutes wait, the president decided that he would walk, the National Police chief, Tito Karnavian also joined the president.
